Meet The Owners
Hey y'all! Peter and Mackenzie here all the way from TX!
Lake City has been Peter’s family vacation spot since the early 70’s. He spent his summers fly fishing with his Uncle Wynne and as soon as he picked up the rod he was hooked. From that time on he would fish any chance he got between serving in the US Marine Corps and dedicating more than a decade as the head guide of Beavers Bend Fly Shop, Hochatown, OK and The Sportsman Fly Shop, Lake City. Peter and Mackenzie were hitched in 2012 and from that time on she was along for the ride too. Mackenzie, while finishing her Bachelor’s degree, tended bar at the infamous Restless Spirits for a number of summers as well as numerous other summer gigs to pass the time until she could hit the river with her beau. We are SO excited to start this new adventure with everyone here in Lake City, CO.

Meet the Shop Dog!
Hi! My name is Piper. I’m the official shop dog and trout inspector. I’m a little quirky and a little shy, but once I warm up, belly scratches are very much appreciated. Squeaker toys and chasing my little humans are my passion.
I mostly spend my days supervising and exploring. Accepts payment in treats🎣🐾
